Japanese Translation Otaku

Otaku is a formal term meaning another's house or family. In the modern day slang, otaku has come to be associated with someone who obsessively watches anime, an "anime otaku" or someone who reads a lot of manga, a "manga otaku". Anyone can be any kind of Otaku provided they do a thing obsessively. Someone obsessed with football could be a "football otaku" however, the term is typically associated with nerdy things like anime, video games and comic books.

I call this site otaku chic because of the growing popularity of nerdy things like these and the rising style of dressing nerdy.

I consider myself an otaku in about every way possible and this site should help anyone become even more otaku than they ever dreamed!!
